I’m pretty fortunate compared to a lot of cam girls I know…I’m ‘out’ about my cam work to my close family and friends so I never feel like I’m leading a double life or concealing a huge portion of what I do with my time. That doesn’t mean I want to push it in people’s faces though- thanks for that windows 8. 🙂
I got a new computer recently and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with windows 8 thus far. Yeah I had to do a google search on ‘how to turn off my computer’ and I was uber-paranoid about accidentally connecting my hotmail to my skype account (luckily I didn’t, I don’t want every random guy out who has ever sent me an email to start hitting me up on skype) but aside from that I like the new set-up…aside from the picture app on the start screen.
My best friend and his girl were over the other day and I was showing them a new program I’ve been playing around with, and to my extreme embarrassment when I clicked on my start screen my picture folder of camgirl pics started scrolling down the picture app box. Um yeah…”hi, there’s my tits”. 🙂 Now I’m not a prude and neither are my friends but I’m always acutely aware that my best friend’s current girl is the only chica he’s ever dated who has actually liked me. I think some of his previous girlfriends didn’t know what to make of me…none of them were involved in adult work or knew anything about cam girls and while we always got along well on the surface I always got the sense they thought I was some huge unethical whore who was dying to steal their man. Don’t get me wrong…I am a cam whore, I’m just a ethical one 😀 and A.’s current girl, to my great delight, is chill and awesome. Luckily he’s in love with her because he’s not allowed to break up with her. 🙂 That doesn’t mean I want to flaunt my half-nekkid camgirl pics in her face though, particularly with A. sitting right beside us. Twas an awkward moment.
I know it’s a bit much to expect operating systems to be designed with the needs of cam girls in mind but for fuck’s sake, who came up with the brilliant idea that the contents of the picture folder should be shown on the start screen picture app?!? Besides, it’s not like only cam girls have porn on their computers, I know we’re not the only ones out there who have some material they don’t necessarily want all and sundry to see. I guess this is my public service announcement to all those, cam girls and the guys who love us, who venture over to windows 8: remove your picture app from the start screen.Â
