Incompetent Voters and the Death of Journalism
It’s been a busy week for me, on and off cam, but life as an independent webcam girl is still sweet (and y’all are keeping me warm while the wind blusters outside so thanks for that). 🙂 Let me start off with the thing everyone is talking about though, namely my reluctant membership in the ‘Ford Nation’. I feel like I’ve ranted about this more than enough already but seriously….why the fuck is the media focusing on our buffoon of a mayor’s penchant for hitting the pipe? All I can take from that is that his chronic alcoholism, domestic violence, tendency to hurl racial epithets and homophobic slurs and ethical ‘slips’ in performing his mayor duties are par for the course? A few are discussing the other huge elephants in the room, but it frustrates me that ‘journalism’ is now code for ‘report whatever juicy topic exhilarates the public most and screw an analysis of systemic issues’.
For real, we got what we deserved in this city when we voted that idiot into office, and it speaks volumes that a significant segment of this city doesn’t care about his alcoholism and racism. Since I don’t plan on being around in T.O. for that much longer quite frankly I don’t give a damn what happens to Toronto, maybe I should but fuck it. Truth is, it’s falling apart. Public transit is a mess, infrastructure is crumbling and entire communities are being marginalized from full participation in society (and during his tenure as mayor things have only gotten worse) but we’re focusing on a crack pipe? LOL. Ahhhh, Toronto so much wealth and potential squandered.Â

On to Better and Brighter Things, Like Independent Webcam Shows
Switching topics from incompetent politicians and a pathetic fourth estate to how hot I look in my new latex stockings. 🙂 I’ve gone through a lot of changes in the years I’ve been an independent webcam girl, but the stockings endure. I don’t really know what it is about stockings…it’s like it’s impossible to put them on and NOT have sex, sacrilegious actually 😀 I picked up a ton of new pairs over the weekend, as somehow a trip to the grocery store for frozen cranberries (my latest addiction) turned into a venture into the sex shop to pick up new outfits to wear, both on cam and off.  I also fell into gales of laughter at the warranty plans for sex toys this particular shop offers…I mean whom other than webcam girls would get enough use out of them to require a warranty? Maybe I’m underestimating average sex toy usage in the general civilian population though, I dunno. It just cracked me up.
Speaking of independent webcam shows, I’ll be hitting the road again later this week but I should be around regularly, on skype at least.  I’m taking way too many breaks from the cold considering winter hasn’t even technically started yet, but I figure meh…I’m just doing my part to support the airline industry 🙂 and since these are working vacations I don’t really have anything to feel guilty about. I’m even taking my kittens with me so I wont have to deal with their plaintive looks as I pack up my suitcase. Besides, I’m a way happier and hotter independent webcam girl when I have tan lines. 🙂
